about me

My name is Kylee Obermeyer. I am currently a senior in Louisiana State University’s CIDA accredited Interior Design program. I have been on the President’s list for five semesters, and I am the president of LSU’s Theme Park Engineering and Design Club.

When deciding what path to take in life I knew I wanted to tell stories but was uncertain of how. While touring Louisiana State University I dropped in to see the interior design students and their work and what I saw on the walls were countless stories. Students were telling tales in their creation of spaces, working tirelessly to reflect the needs, image, and aspirations of their clientele. Whether designing for the fantasy world of themed entertainment, or the needs of education and healthcare, all have an important story to tell. Interior Design has provided me with the opportunity to tell the narrative of organizations and communities, to allow them to see their brand and personality in the spaces they experience every day while also addressing the physiological and psychological needs of the individuals who will utilize the environment. I hope to contribute to the stories of people, one setting at a time.
